Renaissance and Reformation
The Renaissance occurred right after the Dark Ages of Europe. During this time period, people began to innovate in arts and sciences. Instead of drawing religious figures, people began to refrain from that and draw Secular objects. People like Michael Angelo began to also paint Frescoes, in churches and other buildings. New artistic techniques were discovered and practiced by famous artists. People also began to have new political ideas of how the government should and not should be. Throughout this time period, also there was another split in Christianity called the Protestant Reformation. From this split came two groups, Catholicism and Protestantism.
