The Middle ages in China, the Middle East, and Africa
The Middle Ages in China occurred during the Tang and Song Dynasties. During that time they had their Golden Age in which they innovated greatly in technology, arts and more.The also had a tradition of women binding their feet. In Japan, they had a feudal system just like the one in Europe. The Samurai in Japan believed in the act of Seppukku when they don' give up or succeed. Later on, the Mongols came and took over China. The Mongols unified China for the first time after many years under the name of the Yuan Dynasty. This was also the first time when the Mandate of Heaven was broken.

The Middle Ages in the Middle east occurred under the influence of Islam. Islam has two holy texts, The Quran and The Sunnah. The Quran is the literal words of Allah in Arabic. The Sunnah contains the life and sayings of Muhammad. In Islam, one of their five pillars, Salah , is one of their most important things that they must follow. They also had their Golden Age around the time in which they innovated in technology, mathematics and science. It was also during the same time when Islam split in half based on conflict called the Sunni-Shia Split.

In the Middle Ages in Africa, Africa began to innovate slowly, stepping out and started complex societies. They began to trade along the Silk Road, which helped increase their economy. There were also Muslims in which they invaded Africa and brought their religion with them. Also, Kings started to gain more wealth by controlling trade routes in Africa. Ghana started to tax people passing by their trade routes. They also started building universities which increased education. Since Europe and Asia started to interfere with the life of the Africans, they started to conquer each other to get resources.

Golden Age of ChinaIn the Tang / Song Dynasties, they innovated socially and intellectually. They created Porcelain , paper, metal and jade, medicine and maps, money and gunpowder. Socially, they took census of the population. The Mongols took control by using Psychological Warfare to conquer.

Growth in West AfricaIn West Africa, their culture was altered when Islamic people came over and conquered them. They converted to Islam, and started a new way of African life. Emperors like Mansa Musa helped spread Islam through trade with other African Empires near him.

Golden Age of IslamIn the Middle East, their main religion was Islam. They spoke Arabic, and they practiced the pillars of Islam every day. They believe that their founder, Muhammad, is the rightful caliph of all times. Over time, people began to question whether the next caliph had to have the blood of Muhammad, or should be anyone else. This called the Sunni-Shia split in which it is still being fought over today.
